Hoogezand-Sappemeer Beach Holidays

I liked the art deco design throughout the hotel. The studio room had a very large shower area so the floor doesn’t get wet in the rest of the bathroom. There was kitchenette area plus and iron and ironing board.

The lobby is beautiful and I really appreciated the complimentary drinks and snacks in the lobby. The room was spacious and clean.

Great location. Lovely hotel.

The building looks impressive, as does most of the interior. However while the room itself looked good, there were some issues. 1. On the first night the air conditioning was insufficient given how warm it was. 2. The shower head would dip regularly despite our best efforts to screw it in place 3. The folding shower screen would slide by itself unless you found a specific spot to try to hold it in place 4. We were told that the mini bar was free (which while it did not contain alcohol, was free), and we were also told it would be replenished daily. It was not. 5. Most disappointing of all was waking up to shower in the morning, only to find there was no hot water!! When we called down to reception to advise them of the problem, they simply said they were aware of the issue, and that they had contacted someone for repair, but did not give a timescale, did not offer anything in the form of compensation, and did not even offer an apology. 6. When we asked for a slightly later checkout of no more than one hour, we were told we would have to pay an additional fee. No other hotel I have stayed at before has ever requested a charge for this. Overall, given this is supposedly a 5 star hotel, it sadly did not live up to expectations.

The room was beautiful. We even got an upgrade! The bed was the most comfortable of the whole trip. The air conditioner worked wonderfully the room. Service pizza was terrible but everything else was amazing

Amazing place. Excellent convenient location 5 minutes from the train station ( 15 minutes from the airport). Excellent amenities ( nicely equipped gym), excellent friendly helpful people staff. Lots of restaurants and 2 supermarkets in the neighborhood. Clean, quiet property. Spacious apartment with a bedroom, bathroom, sitting area, eating area and a reasonably equipped kitchen
