South East Cornwall Beach Holidays

As returning visitors, we were disappointed in the decline since our last visit in the last 2 years. We were reminded several times of the shortage of staff to explain all the shortfalls, which made us question why was is still expensive, yet the activities, food, staff availability or lack lustre, general building maintenance etc was very much lower than our previous visits. The menu was limited and did not suit all pallets, we had to send partially cooked chicken back, coffee machine wasn’t working but no explanation for cold coffee, run out of many stock items, access to facilities was limited due to staff shortages. Our greatly anticipated relaxing break left us feeling the total opposite and out of pocket.

This hotel is a real treat. The location is incredible with a short walk to the beach and the staff cannot do enough to help you. The outside pool was well lovely,

The hotel was well run,the room was excellent, the food was excellent, well worth paying the extra for the evening meals. I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, the rooms spacious and clean, quiet and comfortable. The driving range was convenient, staffed by helpful and funny people. padel was also very quick to get to. It was easy going and relaxed. OK, the weather was great and that’s the icing on the cake.

Staff just superb. Parking by valet superb. The whole place is spotless. We never ate there as we were picking up with old friends to eat. Just a really lovely hotel thank you all. BT

I love this Hotel, Its a beautiful building, so steeped in history, it should be a wonderful stay, but I am getting more and more disappointed every time I stay.

Room was clean when we arrived but house keepers could do better I don't think people stay for nine days at a time think more short term stays no shops near hotel . Food ok plenty there .staff pleasant enough. If we were short of any thing in our room we did receive straight away more for business people short stays .my opinion ?
