(265 reviews) This hotel is spread out over a hillside. It has many chill out areas - both sitting and lounging (indoor and outdoor). There are a variety of shops onsite and a supermarket up the road. There is a spa and activities programme but I didn't use either. The rooms are spacious with plenty of storage. The rooms are downhill from the main building. It is a steep hill to get from the rooms to the main building / restaurant. Returning to my room in the evening as a lone female, I didn't feel safe because of the low lighting along the pathway. There is gated access to the beach from the hotel. There is steep gravel hill to get to and from the beautiful beach. (101 reviews) We have stayed at this hotel 3 times now. Twice with our children and this time as a couple. The staff are welcoming and friendly, the rooms are fantastic, the choice of food in the evening is great and the breakfast is a very pleasant experience on the terrace outside, overlooking the pool. Of course there is the usual number of people reserving sun loungers in the morning but there are plenty for everyone especially if you have other things to do in the day as well as enjoying the pool area., the resort seems quite remote but that is part of it’s charm, you can get a transfer to and from the resort and just enjoy what the area has to offer. (475 reviews) We have been here many times over the years. This was the first time since it reopened as Paradisus after refurbishment. We decided to try the Reserve level. It was much more expensive and did not offer very much extra in terms of facilities or dining options. The Reserve Pool area is enclosed by a concrete wall like a stockade or prison. It is still the windiest pool and we spent more time around the lagoon pool on the sheltered & sunnier side of the hotel. Reserve also offered breakfast in a separate dining area with table service. This area also served as a bar & lounge for Reserve during the day. Again we didn’t spend any time in there. The hotel was NOT full and a lot of staff were wandering around asking if everything was alright but they didn’t really want to hear anything but yes.
