Cheap price for a room for the night but the rooms are in quite poor repair and are in desperate need of refurbishment. There are areas of widespread damage on the walls especially in the bathroom and the shower drains incredibly slowly. The doors bang when they shut so if you have late returning neighbours that may wake you and while there is a chain on the door, there's not a double lock which I don't personally like. That all said, the bed was comfortable and the price was low. For the area you would struggle to get cheaper and it's under 20 minutes from Manchester Airport. There is a lot of free parking outside. Make sure you register your car on arrival to avoid a later fine.

Overall a very good Hotel However two issues which explain my revised rating. On the first night there was a very loud fire alarm at 1.45am which lasted for about 10 minutes. We had a room at the very top of the building so in the absence of any Hotel staff we dressed and made our way down to reception area and were recommended for safety to stand outside in the rain! It transpired it was a false alarm but nether my wife or I saw any staff member. Another guest mentioned that this was the second false alarm in 3 days ! No staff member ever came round to apologise. Another issue we had a room at the top of the building and with no lift this involved carrying our heavy case up several flights of stairs. Being 80 and post stroke this was not easy so I wish more mention of accessibilty was made at the time of booking--had we known we would have asked for a ground floor room

Lovely staff, very clean, comfy, spacious room. The pool area could do with a bit of tlc and a bit less chlorine. A great stay.
