Amazing front desk staff and room service!

La chambre était propre, belle hôtel. Mais la chambre n’était pas comme sur la photo Il y avait une chaise au lieu d’un divan double.

This hotel is all about the location! It is so close to the harbor and restaurants. The breakfast is a sit down restaurant style and delicious. My only tip would be to leave yourself plenty of time for breakfast because they are very slow to serve. We were disappointed with the house keeping. They arrived every day but would often not refill the necessary toiletries like providing enough towels or toilet paper. The beds were terrible. They were so squeaky every time you rolled over and they had a big dip in the middle which caused you to roll into each other.

A great place to get away and unplug for a few days. Everything you need for a relaxing stay.

My husband and I got stuck on the elevator with 6 other adults. The elevator was stuck on the 6th floor. We used to phone on the elevator to alert staff to which they never answered. We rang the emergency button with no response. One of the guys on the elevator with us called the front desk to which he was going to put us on hold , luckily he listened to what was going on. However he didn’t know how to handle the situation and was talking to a women in the background and she yelled “WHAT” which isn’t a great thing to hear when you’re stuck on an small elevator with 6 other adults and it getting very hot inside the small space. We managed to pull open the door and jumped out. We then waiting outside the elevator waiting for someone to come to which no one came urgently. Which is concerning if we weren’t able to jump out , how long would we have been stuck in there ! We told to front desk on check out and they offered a complimentary drink or appetizer for the trouble. I would highly suggest a staff training on how to handle this situation if it were to ever occur again .

Perfect place very relaxing and peaceful! 5 stars for me! Will definitely be back next time! I appreciate Sandy for making this possible for me!

Next level hotel - the place to stay in Halifax. Expensive yes but on the harbour and right next to everything. Beautiful pool and spa, gorgeous speakeasy with a secret knock to enter. Views to die for and amazing staff and beautifully appointed rooms. Loved the restaurants and the room service and a convenient car and driver to drop you off anywhere within a couple kilometers. Couldn’t recommend it more.

We got there a little early our room was not ready but 2 other couple came after us and they got a room. Could not understand why they would have given us another room that was available. Not great to deal with.

Pros -Great breakfast and pre-dinner (530pm) snacks (lots of variety). -Bed very comfortable -I usually wake up in hotels, but we didn't hear anything in the hallway, we were at the end of the hallway away from the elevator. -Nice cool temp - it was hot outside. -Close walking distance, but also the UBER came right to the door. -Right beside the Citadel -Checkout at noon - usually 11 in most areas. -Nice to have a kitchen to store/reheat food. Cons -Breakfast done at 930, a bit early, but I was able to bring food up to the room to people who were sleeping. -The parking is not in the building, more of a "need to know", unload everything to the lobby then take the car to park. Same on checkout, bring everything to the lobby, then go get the car. Overall a great stay.
