Find hotels in Zoumbata from £43

The best area to stay in Zoumbata is the main village itself, especially around the harbour, for convenient access to amenities and the waterfront.

The village centre is well-suited for travellers who appreciate having everything within easy reach. The main square, Plateia Zoumbata, is a focal point with several tavernas and shops. From here, a short stroll leads you to the harbour, where you'll find fishing boats and waterfront eateries. It's a compact area, making it easy to explore on foot.

Couples often find the area around the harbour particularly appealing. Many accommodations here offer views of the Aegean Sea, and you're perfectly positioned for romantic dinners by the water as the sun sets. It's also convenient for arranging boat trips to nearby coves or islands.

For those seeking a slightly more secluded experience while still being close to the action, the hillside just above the village offers villas and boutique hotels. These typically provide stunning panoramic views of the sea and the village below, often featuring private pools. While a short walk or drive from the main village centre, they offer a peaceful retreat.

The best time to visit Zoumbata is during the shoulder seasons of May, June, September, and early October. These months offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and a relaxed atmosphere, which is ideal for travellers who appreciate quality and convenience.

During these periods, you'll find the temperatures warm enough for swimming and exploring without the intense heat of mid-summer. The sea is inviting, and the local tavernas and shops are fully operational but not overcrowded, allowing for a more authentic and enjoyable experience. This is great for couples seeking a romantic getaway or solo travellers looking for a tranquil escape.

For families travelling with school-aged children, late June and early September are also excellent choices.
