Zinnowitz is an excellent starting point for exploring the island. Stroll through the town itself or along the wide, beautiful beach promenade and enjoy the fine, long sandy beach. Take a walk on the Zinnowitz pier with its distinctive diving gondola and enjoy the views both underwater and above the water. Various shops and restaurants offer everything your heart desires. Karl’s Strawberry Farm in Koserow and the treetop trail in Heringsdorf are also always worth a visit. Or you can hike through the adjacent beech and pine forests and take a tranquil boat ride on the Achterwasser. If you’ve brought your bike or would like to rent one, you can enjoy the island of Usedom even more and explore destinations on a whim. The “Haus Roland” apartment complex consists of two sturdy, adjacent brick buildings with a total of 33 comfortably furnished apartments of various sizes. The building on the right features a refreshing indoor swimming pool and a sauna with lounge chairs for relaxation. In the building on the left, active holidaymakers will find a table tennis room to let off some steam (please bring your own paddles and balls) and a storage room for bicycles. Each apartment has a parking space directly on the property. It is marked with the number 9. Use of the washing machine and dryer is available for an additional fee. Swimming pool: Open 6 a.m.–10 p.m., water depth 1.30 m, size 4x8 m, water temperature 24–26 degrees. Sauna: Open 5–9 p.m. The apartment is 61 square metres and accommodates 4 people. It features a living room with a dining area, a separate kitchen, 2 bedrooms (1 with a double bed and 1 with two single beds), a shower/toilet, and a south-facing balcony. Bed linens and towels can be booked for an additional 20 euros per person. There is a 5-euro charge per night for bringing a dog. Please note that the visitor’s tax is handled directly by the landlord after booking. For this, the landlord will need your address and the names of the guests arriving. Just to the north of the island, on the Pomeranian Bay, lies the beautiful Baltic Sea resort of Zinnowitz, home to our “Haus Roland.” A seaside resort began to develop in Zinnowitz as early as 1850, and the first wooden pier was built around the turn of the century. Today, the Baltic Sea resort boasts a beach promenade filled with scenic plantings, flanked by breathtaking seaside architecture and the over 300-meter-long “Vineta” pier, at the end of which a diving gondola allows visitors to descend many metres below the surface of the Baltic Sea. The annual cultural highlight is the Vineta Festival on the open-air stage in Zinnowitz. You can relax wonderfully in the huge seawater swimming area of the “Bernsteintherme”—both indoors and outdoors.
