"We spend 4 days in Zhangjiajie/Wulingyuan. The hotel was perfect. Walking distance to park entrance. The hotel staff was very friendly and always helpful. (Forgot my mobile charger and they gave me one for the whole stay) Especially Joanna (English speaking) helped us a lot with transfers etc. The breakfast is a good mix of western and Chinese food. We also ordered food for room service, it was very good. The rooms are very big and the beds are spacious. "

"This hotel is a beautiful old building with spacious peaceful courtyards. The location is great. However, it is very rundown - I'm not talking about faded elegance - I'm talking about neglect and poor management. I have the impression that the owners are running this place into the ground with a view to demolition in the near future, so that it can be replaced with one of the ugly, but doubtless more profitable, glass and concrete boxes that already surround it. "I recently just went on a big China trip and visited the beautiful Zhangjiajie region. Staying at No. 5 Valley was an incredible experience. The host Frankie was super helpful and hospitable. The property is in a very scenic, remote area. Around 1 hour from Zhangjiajie Train Station. The food options were vast and very accommodative and the resort. Had several activities going on throughout the day. Arts and crafts, tea ceremonies and much more. I really enjoyed my stay and I'm looking forward to coming back. This is an excellent place to stay and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great place to stay in Zhangjiajie. Accessibility to the Zhangjiajie park is about 10 mins away and about 1 hour from the Tianmenshan park. The hotel provides transportation for anywhere you need to go in Zhangjiajie. Highly recommend for anyone looking to have an amazing experience at a beautiful stay in Zhangjiajie"

The hotel’s location is perfect—just steps away from the vibrant night market, the art performance center, shops, and a variety of fantastic restaurants. The homemade breakfast was a delightful start to each day, healthy and delicious options. The staff went above and beyond by recommending several amazing activities around the area, which helped us plan our itinerary efficiently. Thanks to their advice, we managed to see all the must-visit spots in just two days. One unique highlight was the hotel’s impressive collection of traditional outfits that guests can try on for free—such a fun and memorable experience! We also highly recommend booking a local tour guide, either Chinese or English-speaking, as it truly saves time and enhances your exploration of Zhangjiajie.
