Clean and friendly. Great breakfast included with the room. Walkable town with great early season skiing. You don’t need a room with a view of the Matterhorn because you’re going to ride the lifts and get pictures up close anyway. Staff speaks excellent English 5\. 5 min to the train station, the main shopping street and Gornergrat Bahn station, 2 min walk to Sunnegga station 6\. Lastly, when I checked out, there were pouring rain. We cracked a window every night and loved falling asleep to the mountain air and the sound of a near by creek. Waking up to crisp mountain air and a view of Zermatt isn’t a half bad way to start the day. Convenient to everything yet not packed in with hordes of other hotels and people. Close to the (free) bus stop so didn’t have to walk to the base of the mountains every day. Perfect place at a good price. Empfang war freundlich! Zimmer zuoberst mit seitlicher Sicht aufs Matterhorn und durch ein kleines Fenster direkt! Bett war bequem! Badewanne im Zimmer fand ich originell aber mässig praktisch! Dürfte zudem etwas mehr Licht über dem Lavabo haben! Frühstück war soweit gut! Angebot fand ich für die Hotelkategorie etwas mässig obwohl man verschiedene Eierspeisen zusätzlich bestellen konnte! Abendessen wird im Moment nicht angeboten (Folge der Pandemie). Preis-Leistung war gut! Ich finde die eine oder andere Auffrischung des Hotels wäre nötig aber im Moment wohl zurück gestellt!
