Our room was in the new building and everything was so clean and new. I especially loved the large bathroom with windows. We could also see the top of Matterhorn from the room. I also used the swimming pool and spa, both again very clean and nice. First of all: it's the people. the gentleman on the desk was really kind and covered everything well at check in, which was nice as I was arriving late and he brought me to the room = never had that done before. this actually seemed what I would have thought of as Swiss experience.. the precooked - Scrambled eggs were nicely done - a rarity in my experience. And included in the price. Exceptional cooked breakfast options - - - I think 6-8 different tureens! But maybe they should use plastic tongs as they get hot on top of I think were induction plates? Breakfast was included too. The Downsides: The room was small, but you get what you pay for and it was really all I wanted. I think every hotel room need a table and a chair - which my smallish room did not have. I think in most places an option on Low fat milk would be nice. Cereal was in an odd place at breakfast. Pet peeve, the Orangejuice tasted like "concentrated Orange Juice: whereas I think most people would expect "not from concentrate". One issue was vertical blinds in the room - - - this is a no-no. A Basic function of any hotel window should be a blackout capacity. Everything, aside from 1 issue, was scrupulously clean. Notwithstanding it was Zermatt, the pricing was I thought very good for what I got, Overall a really really good experience. I'd love to go back sometime. Really close to the train .
