The staff were very friendly, the hotel is super clean and the beds are comfortable. It is quite a hike to the hotel from the train station so you may want to take a taxi to the hotel with your luggage. Wonderful, quaint family owned hotel. Everything you need with the kindest staff. We checked in late night- be sure to mention it to the staff and they helped us with so many details in our short stay. Our only hesitation was a concern that after reading some reviews the hotel might be further from the main downtown area in Zermatt- psssh, perfect location just a short walk (and thats from a suburbanite american) from everything. Plus, gorgeous views right from our room. The pictures are exactly what you get in person, maybe even a little better. The location offers easy access to the bus, making it incredibly simple to get around. The staff are exceptionally kind and welcoming, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, with a genuine sense of care in everything they do. It’s clear that the owners take great pride in their hotel, and their attention to detail truly shines. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone planning a visit to Zermatt. Well, they have a bar but they do not staff the bar, so that's a bit misleding. The hotel is right next to the Matterhorn Express Cable car station but there is little noise from that facility. It's a bit of a hike from town but not bad. Room and beds were clean, and the staff was super lovely, even letting us store our bags after checkout for one last hike. Walking distance to everything in town and convenient for local buses.
