The home is located on a scenic hillside, reached by a well maintained dirt road that is suitable for standard vehicles. Thank you for your understanding By making this reservation, you acknowledge that you and the guests in your party have read, understand and will comply with all house rules. You also acknowledge and accept that the host has the right to keep the security deposit amount in full, if any of the rules below are not adhered to. \* NO PETS ALLOWED. You will be asked to leave if you arrive at the property with a pet. \* No smoking inside the house. This includes the use of tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes, vape, etc. There will be a $1000 charge minimum for any smoking in the house. \* No fires indoors or outdoors, including candles, except for the provided propane fire pit. Please ensure to read and follow proper fire pit use in the guest manual. \* No unregistered guests are allowed on the property at any time. Only 4 registered guests are allowed per stay. All guests must be cleared by hosts before check in. If discovered that more guests have been found, there is a $300 fine. \* No more than two cars are allowed on the property at a time without permission. Cars may only be parked in designated parking areas - never alongside the roads/drives. If the renter wants to seek permission to vary from any of these occupancy and/or parking requirements you must receive permission ahead of time from the owner. \* We have really poured our hearts into this property and have put a lot of thought into the pieces we have selected, some being one of a kind. Please take care of the furnishings, any damages that exceed the security deposit will have to be paid in addition, out of pocket. \*If the BBQ Grill is utilized, it must be cleaned before departure. Used grills that have cooled w/ dried food take a lot of time for the cleaner to prepare for the next guest. An uncleaned grill will incur an additional $50 cleaning fee. \* Parties or gatherings of any kind are not allowed on the premises - we have plenty of bars/restaurants to recommend for parties. Guests who are reported for throwing a disruptive party or violating our rules on registered guests of more than 4 people are subject to suspension or removal from the platform. \* Quiet hours (10PM-8AM) Sound travels very far in the desert; no music or loud noises after 10pm. \* Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet, we are on a sensitive septic system (no wipes of any kind, feminine hygiene products, paper towels, etc.) \* No professional photoshoots or videos allowed unless given written permission by the owners. Please inquire with the owners regarding any photoshoots on the property. \* We like to keep the floors and rugs nice and clean, we appreciate you keeping your shoes off in the house. \* No Firearms. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The house was so well curated and peaceful and the communication with the hosts was so easy and straight forward.As someone who has sensitivities to scents, I really appreciated their use of natural cleaning products, detergents and pool chemicals.Our family had such a relaxing and fun stay and it was the ideal place to enjoy a starry night in the hot tub, and a quick ride into town or to Joshua Tree National Park for an adventure! ##### Matthew d. It was very clean and well cared for. We enjoyed using the hot tub and fire pit. Perfect for a night of star gazing! We hiked the High View Trail and West Loop at the nearby trail head. The home was completely stocked, including games our children loved to play. Being able to spend some time in the hot tub and watch the stars at night added to the overall experience of our desert vacation. Our kids enjoyed being able to swim a little one of the afternoons as well. The hosts were very helpful with wonderful communication, streamlining the entire process. The home is very nicely appointed and furnished. Everything is up to date and comfortable. We were there on a few cold partially rainy days. The hot tub was fantastic. The weather was too cold to use the pool, but also the pool wasn't heated unless you paid extra. It was a short drive to several fun places to eat and hang out, and of course, it was very easy to drive into Joshua Tree National Park. ##### Luke L. This was NOT the case when staying at Calico landing. The online images and description are completely accurate in the best way possible. The house was very cute, clean, and incredibly well-stocked with everything you need (besides groceries) for a fun and relaxing weekend. The host was kind enough to let us drop our bags and food off early before exploring Joshua Tree, and they were quick to respond throughout the weekend. Thank you for a wonderful stay! ##### Kayla P. Everything is new and it has everything that you can think of to be comfortable. I will say I expected the area to be more deserted but it has quite a bit of neighbors, but even with the neighbors the area is extremely quiet.
