While we encourage taking walks on this property and in the National Park, please do not wander into our neighbor's backyards in the surrounding area as you will be trespassing on private property. The Neighborhood: Monument Manor is the most coveted neighborhood in Joshua Tree, famed for its towering boulders and "walk-in" proximity to the National Park entrance. ◎ Joshua Tree National Park Entrance – 1 minute ◎ Joshua Tree Village (Coffee & Saloon) – 3 minutes ◎ Pioneertown (Pappy & Harriet’s) – 20 minutes ◎ The Integratron – 25 minutes ◎ Palm Springs – 45 minutes Getting Around: This is a remote location down dirt roads, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive car is not, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain. The house was set up really well and had everything we needed — even down to an extension cord and a martini shaker. The bed was extremely comfy. The hot tub was perfectly situated under breathtaking stars with an insanely convenient and necessary lighted path with switches on both ends of the walk. The house was sealed off from the bugs at night well, there were the occasional grasshopper intruders but as far as bugs in the desert goes, this place was really well sealed. The location was surrounded by adorable chuckwalla lizards. We did see a coyote peering in the side door one night but that’s to be expected in the desert (we brought our chihuahua a coyote vest and kept him close at all times). The location was also so easy to hop into town and back. And on top of everything the design of the house was so breathtaking and inspiring!!! It really is a gem in the desert!!We would absolutely enjoy the opportunity to stay here again on a future visit! ##### Madison L.
