A thousand shops and restaurants. Lively atmosphere. Midway between Yokohama and Tokyo. Low cost abundant efficient transport system. At Kawasaki city, I experienced real Japan away from the epicenter of overtourism seen in Kyoto, Osaka, Tokyo. I have seen daily out of house activities of a gentle polite helpful people that inhabit the Land of the Rising Sun. Everyone in the world with a dollar in the pocket has to live in Kyoto for a week during Sakura cherry blossom. Live is incomplete otherwise. The hotel staff were very friendly, polite and informative. The staff let me keep my fold-up bicycle outside my apartment door during my stay. The apartment was equipped with bath towels, toiletries, and bed linen. On the first floor there is a laundry area to wash your clothes. Inside the apartment was a tea/coffee maker and a microwave oven. The apartment is very central and only 6 minutes walk from Kawasaki train station. You can get to Shinagawa in under 15 minutes. There are many great bars and restaurants in the area. Only one very small problem I found was that the Internet speed wasn't very strong. For value for money, I recommend Flexstay Inn Kawasaki. ##### Jason M.
