It's still a Chinese Hotel so that is a good indication of the quality, but was good enough (based on 4-5\* standard). No breakfast or minibar or anything. The room looks as if it was refurbished in the original style. The bed is typical China-hard, but it was clean and everything worked. The staff were pleasant and helpful and spoke some English. The hotel seems to be a place where local conferences/conventions are held, and there were quite a few non-city people attending (you could tell by the way they stood in front of the no-smoking signs while they smoked! The location is excellent, just outside the Old City Wall which was visible through the lovely trees in the courtyard.
