Lite trivsammare gardiner...

Rugard Thermal Strandhotel

8/10 Good

"What we Ioved was the saunas available to.everyone, the breakfast included and the closeness to the beach! What was very disappointing was the gym/fitness with their limited equipment. The meals are very delicious - highly recommend getting the buffet dinner!"

Grand Hotel Binz

10/10 Excellent

"Clean, incredibly comfortable rooms and exceptionally friendly staff. The included breakfast buffet is great and features free made-to-order options. The full spa is wonderful, and they even give you free local transit passes and a complimentary shuttle to/from the train station. Great beaches nearby—the location is slightly off to the side but still just a 10-minute walk to the main promenade."

10/10 Excellent

8/10 Good

"Lovely area, peaceful and lots of walking opportunities. Easy to get to by local transport, bus or train. Walking into binz for restaurants and supermarkets. Lovely beach stretching for miles. Great sand and not busy. But for us in may the water temperature was cold. Hotel apartment was spacious and had a nice balcony. Check in at 4pm, so pretty late however they keep your luggage for you. You have to pay three days tax for staying two nights, never had that before. And it's 10 euros to use the pool. Overall a good place."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Wreechen?

The best area to stay in Wreechen is directly within the village, particularly along the main road, Dorfstraße, for its convenient access to the lake and local amenities.

Wreechen itself is a small, quiet village on the island of Rügen, known for its direct access to the Rügischer Bodden, a shallow bay great for water activities. The area around Dorfstraße offers a mix of guesthouses and holiday flats, often with views of the surrounding countryside or the bay. It's a great base for exploring the natural beauty of the region.

Families often find Wreechen ideal due to its relaxed setting and proximity to nature. The calm waters of the Rügischer Bodden are excellent for swimming and kayaking, and there are several walking and cycling paths directly accessible from the village, leading to scenic spots like the Wreecher See (Lake Wreechen). Many accommodations offer gardens or outdoor spaces, which are great for children.

Couples looking for a tranquil escape will also appreciate Wreechen. The village provides a peaceful retreat away from the more bustling tourist centres on Rügen. You can enjoy quiet walks by the lake, explore the charming local architecture, or simply relax and take in the serene landscape.

When is the best time to go to Wreechen?

The best time to visit Wreechen is during the late spring and summer months, from May to September, when the weather is at its most pleasant for outdoor activities.

During these months, you can expect warmer temperatures and longer daylight hours, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the region. This is when the island of Rügen, where Wreechen is located, truly comes alive with opportunities for cycling, hiking, and enjoying the beaches.

Couples looking for a relaxing getaway will find this period superb for strolls along the coast, boat trips on the Greifswalder Bodden, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The milder weather allows for comfortable outdoor dining and exploring the nearby towns like Putbus and Lauterbach without the chill of the off-season.

For solo travellers, the summer months offer a chance to engage in various water sports or join guided nature tours.
