"The hotel is in a wonderful area, right next to the castle and within a good walking distance of the tram in nottingham. The hotel itself was clean but there was some renovations/construction going on so there was some plastic on the floor coming out of the lift on our floor and some drilling i could faintly here, but it wasnt intrusive. The only issues we had with the room were the sofabed not being comfortable, and there seemed to be some sewer gas coming up through the shower. I would definitely stay again just getting a seperate room if more then two people are staying."

"The waiting and bar staff were lovely but the same cannot be said of the reception lady who was very unfriendly and not at all helpful. The food and drink were very overpriced although we did have a nice meal. The menu is limited though."

"The room was great as always, other than the window being unsealed so we could hear outside very clearly. The ugly: The first night was great, but unfortunately the rooms around us were so loud and drunk on the 2nd night that, after hours of complaining to front desk (and them coming up to ask them to quiet down, repeatedly) we had to move room at nearly 1 in the morning. Staff were apologetic, but it would've been nice if we'd had our room changed earlier so we could get a nights rest, and the staff wouldn't have had to run up and down stairs for hours. Everything else: Other than the loud neighbours, we can't fault the place. Amazing food, lovely staff and clean facilities. Super comfy beds and all round our favourite place to stay."
