I needed a overnight stopover on route to Peterborough, so research i did, i located this hidden gem. Every aspect was perfect

We had a 'superior' room/apartment, and it really was superior. An entrance hall, bedroom plus ensuite bathroom, AND a large sitting room/kitchen. Fantastic. And not noisy despite overlooking Saturday Market Place and being at one end of the High Street. Parking is available, in Saturday Market Place, and not cheap, but go a little further afield and find a long term parking car park and cost is reduced. Beautifully maintained property and an excellent breakfast.

One of those rare finds that you almost want to keep to yourself so you can always get a room.. :-) We booked only 3 hours before our 2 night stay so options were limited and we were a bit worried we'd be left with what no-one else wanted. With the warmest of greetings I was shown to my room. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. This is the first time I have slept all night in a hotel or B&B for many years. Breakfast was delicious and gave me a tremendous start to my day. Thank you so very much.

Excellent place to stay for 1-3 nights. Clean plenty of room and having a small kitchen area was great. Unfortunately the pub next door was shut on a Tuesday so need to revisit on a working day to samples the food.

If you are looking for an authentic British inn in the modern style look no further. Great village location, superb food, great beer, beautiful rooms, friendly staff and a 'real breakfast'. Intrigued ..go there.

This has to be one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at in many a year. We arrived 2 hours early and were given key to the room and a very nice young lady showed us the way and explained the facilities. The evening meals were excellent, portions very good and excellent quality food and drink, the lad who served us was pleasant and always smiling.
