We're an experienced local management company - Premier Hosts on Vrbo and Superhosts on Airbnb - with an average rating close to 5 stars across our 70+ properties in the area. This 1-bedroom condo is on the 2nd floor of the main (C) building at Iron Horse, right on the Corridor run between the bases of Mary Jane and Winter Park - popping back for lunch or a mid-day break is a breeze. It sleeps up to 6. THE HOME Living area: Cozy gas fireplace, a queen Murphy bed, a sofa sleeper and a door to your private balcony. Kitchen and dining: Fully equipped kitchen with a full-size oven and fridge and a built-in microwave. Dining table for 4. Bedroom: Queen bed. Bathroom: Full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. Access: The C building has an elevator. IRON HORSE RESORT Iron Horse sits right on the Corridor run - the green run that connects the base of Mary Jane to the base of Winter Park - about 1/4 mile from the Zephyr Gondola. Skiing in and out: From Iron Horse you ski down about 1/4 mile to the base of Winter Park. To ski home, head over to the Mary Jane side and catch the Corridor run - Iron Horse is about 3/4 mile down from Mary Jane. Getting to the base of Mary Jane requires skiing a blue run. You can also take the free Town of Winter Park shuttle (Iron Horse is on the green line), and the free Lift bus picks up frequently at the main entrance. Pool and hot tubs: Free for guests - a year-round indoor/outdoor heated pool, two large outdoor hot tubs, and a fitness room with steam rooms and showers. Pool deck hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Ski storage: Shared ski storage for owners and guests is on level 5 of the D building, near the doors to the Corridor run. If you'd like to lock up your gear, locks are available at the front desk for $35 (they don't fit snowboards). A full-service ski shop with rentals is on site. Laundry: A shared laundry room is on the 2nd floor of the D building. Bikes: To protect the carpets and walls, bikes can't be stored inside the condo or on balconies. TRAVELING WITH FAMILY OR FRIENDS? We manage several other condos here at Iron Horse, from studios to 2-bedroom units, plus Chill 201, a modern 3-bedroom condo just steps away. Your family or friends can stay close by while everyone has their own space. GETTING AROUND The Winter Park Resort base village is about 1/4 mile away, with lifts for skiing, snowboarding and mountain biking, plus snow tubing, hiking, ice skating, shopping, dining and entertainment year-round. The Grand Park Rec Center is about 4.6 miles away, and The Foundry next door offers bowling, a movie theater and a brick-oven pizza bar. Safeway is 6.2 miles away in Fraser. Make Iron Horse your next vacation spot - the location and amenities can't be beat! GOOD TO KNOW • Bedding: This property uses the Triple Sheet Method. Two sheets encase the comforter and are washed between every guest for an extra-clean sleep. • Parking: 2 parking passes - 1 for the indoor garage and 1 for outdoor parking. A replacement fee applies for lost passes. • Smoking: No smoking is allowed anywhere on the property, including the balcony. • Fire restrictions: We strongly encourage guests traveling to Grand County to keep up with the latest updates on fire restrictions in our area. We enjoyed our stay at the Iron Horse. The unit was able to accommodate our family and the murphy bed made the space more comfortable during waking hours. We took full advantage of the indoor walkway to the ski slope access, which was very convenient. The hot tub and pool were a great place to wind down after long days on the slopes. Everything was clean. Parking was a breeze.

Relaxing weekday trip

The unit is very clean and accommodating. Proximity and access to mountain is great. I love this building and the unit was also wonderful. Would stay again and recommend.

Nice little spot

Stayed here for 2 nights over July 4th. It was surprisingly quiet for a holiday weekend. We weren’t in the house much, but it was a good place to shower and sleep. Pretty close to town. Overall a nice home base for adventures in the area.

Perfect location for a fun ski weekend!

This was a perfect place to stay to have underground parking and direct ski access. There is plenty of space and have great extra amenities. Very clean and the owner was extremely friendly and helpful.

Great ski location

Iron Horse is a great base for skiing Winter Park/Mary Jane. The building is older but very quiet and has everything you need to enjoy the mountain. Garage is heated and the building is a short drive to Winter Park base or town.

Great location

This was our first trip to Winter Park, so we didn't know what to expect. Iron Horse was in a great location to access the gondola. Our son was a bit bummed that the pool wasn't operational, but the unit was clean and comfortable--good for a family of 3.

Great location- easy access to the base

Great stay in Winter Park. Ski in and ski out, but map out your ski out carefully. Comfortable sleeping arrangements as listed- queen bed in bedroom, queen murphy bed, and full size pull out couch. Loved being able to come home easily from the slopes for lunch. Enjoyed the hot tub each day after skiing. Easy walk to the base if you aren't skiing. Loved the covered parking. Quick drive to town for more dining options. Communication was quick and easy. Very easy to park and get into the condo.

Our stay was nice. The condo only had one TV and very small. Another TV would have been nice. Also, another chair in living room would have been helpful. It was clean.

We had a lovely stay at the Iron Horse in Winter Park. The condo aesthetic is dated (exactly as the photos are shown), but it is still charming and very clean. The instructions for check in and out were very clear and easy. Unfortunately, the hot tub was under maintenance while we were there but there was still a warm pool available if desired. The condo facilities were very nice and clean, and it was very quiet. The access to the mountain is a very short walk right behind the condo, and the ski run that connected us to the base could be seen from our room. Overall good experience!

Lights from the complex outside were a little bright at night, but otherwise, great property. Murphy bed worked well.

Okay rental

The condo is dated, but the location (within walking distance to Winter Park) is great. It needs some repairs and has limited kitchen set up (few pans, dishes, and no plastic ware for storage). Bed in bedroom needs replaced - very soft and you roll to the middle. Great to have indoor parking, and amenities would be good if you have young kids. It depends on what’s important to you.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A dated unit in an older building, hence the lower price than some, I.e. you get what you pay for. Clean and equipment ok, the experience would be much improved by a new mattress as others have said. For $200 this issue goes away, I don’t get it ... as it stands the bed is close to unusable for 2 people. Ski in / out is stretching it a bit .... You gotta hike a little but overall the location is good and close to the base. The place is like fort knocks,to get around you have to put in a 11 digit code even when in the building which feels like overkill (I.e. when going to the hot tub).

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Iron Horse property is very nice. The public spaces are very welcoming and nicely maintained. Just an FYI - there is no staff on site. This is not an issue necessarily, there’s just no one at the desk to ask questions about the area. Check in and check out was very easy. We did have some issues with the actual unit - C 2103. Kate from the management company was very friendly and helpful. It was very warm the day we got there and only one window opened. She had a maintenance guy out that evening to help us. If you are a warm person, this may not be the unit for you. There is not much breeze and does not cool down much at night - no A/C. Fans are provided, so does help.The ice machine in the fridge doesn’t work - ice cube trays provided but no ice machine on site. So if you need ice that first night - stop in town and pick some up.The toilet was an issue. It didn’t always want to flush. I was told they would look into it and it should be fixed for the next renters. Overall our start was good. That unit was still a fairly good value for the area.
