"Beautiful, clean room. Staff was helpful. Great location. We bought the breakfast the first day but it wasn’t great for the cost. Cambridge was a beautiful city and we walked everywhere which was nice."

"The setting and grounds are lovely. The actual room was ok, although I had expected it to be a little more luxurious as a junior suite. There were a few things we noticed in the room - toilet flush was not working very well, the shower door was very noisy when closing and the sink plug was rusty. Also the TV in the room was a basic one with no smart features eg. Netflix or iPlayer etc. No USB plugs in any sockets. All these things I would expect for this type of establishment. The Spa was lovely.There is also a restaurant on site, Squires, which serves excellent food (dinner especially good). Food in the spa was not very good however. They could improve this - why not get the kitchen from the other Squires restaurant to make food for the spa? Staff were not as attentive as I would expect - quite a bit of waiting for someone to spot you if you needed something. Staff at the check in desk were not the most welcoming. Nothing rude but just not very interested or enthusiastic etc. For example when we checked out the girl didn't even ask how our stay was, were we happy with everything etc. This is basic and what every guest should be asked surely!? Overall we had a nice 2 night break but For the price you pay I expected more."

"Very clean and modern rooms! Delicious and varied breakfast. Very friendly staff. I would only recommend car park and gym + pool to be better signposted, swimming pool towels to be bigger and pool to have warm water in jacuzzi area and a steam room to be my 5 stars!"

"Staff were polite and friendly. Breakfast was great - plenty of choice. Central but quiet and peaceful. A bit musty but expected in such a lovely old set of buildings. Would definitely stay again."
