"Lovely one night stay. We knew room was small when we booked but it had everything we needed. Clean comfortable bed and very clean bathroom. We couldn't get radiator to come on but we found the thermostat by the door in the morning. The pub itself was welcoming. Breakfast facilities was great. Would definately stay again"

"Hotel location is very convenient for the town. Car parking is always a bonus. Hotel was warm and inviting. Very Quirky rooms but loved ours. Breakfast was very good. Staff friendly and helpful."

"Superb service, staying there for work, had to leave before breakfast started at 7.30, hotel offered to serve us earlier which other hotels I’ve stayed in have never offered. Superb service, staff could not do enough for you, will definitely stay here again."

"Lovely spa, but housekeeping needs improvement Overall, we had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the spa facilities. The hotel has a lot going for it and we had a relaxing time. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was the cleanliness. The room was not cleaned to the standard I would expect from a hotel and spa of this level, and the rooms themselves are starting to look quite tired and would benefit from refurbishment. It is a shame because with better attention to housekeeping and some investment in the bedrooms, this could be an excellent place to stay. We still enjoyed our visit, but the cleanliness really needs addressing."

"Different room this time #209 so little smaller but nicer outlook over the to the hills. Lovely to walk around the cloisters again and this time get to top of tower with clear blue skies. Was with partner this time and she loved everything, the staff, George’s bar the Refectory restaurant and wants to come again!"
