"Wonderful location of course. But room was tired and in need of some basic maintenance. Was very noticeable when opening the wardrobe door. Breakfast service started too late (7.15 IIRC) for my hiking plans so was sorry to miss out. And somewhat limited parking at rear of hotel, which must be problematic when hotel/bar is busy during high season."

"Superb hotel right on the lake and right next to the boat trip and the steam train . Very relaxing , rooms ate lovely clean , great views over the lake ."

"This hotel was an absolute joy.The welcoming staff and the fabulous food. Nothing to dislike. Great bedrooms. Great sandwiches at lunch and the restaurant meal was excellent."

"This hotel was lovely staff were friendly but seemed busy. My only thing I can fault was the fact we booked it as it has a lift as my mum is elderly unfortunately the lift was broken so we had to walk 3 floors each time we left our room. Other than that it was a nice relaxing place the bar and food were top notch. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in town. The plus was it had it's own carpark across the road."

"The staff were amazing, so welcoming and helpful. The room was lovely. The hotel is undergoing an upgrade and we enjoyed delightful and unusual decor in a room that has just been decorated. There is a lively bar downstairs which we were warned could make the rooms noisy but we really just hardly heard the music in the background and it didn't go on very long anyway. Didn't eat there as we had other plans so can't comment. Free easy flexible parking on site."
