"The staff was so friendly and hospitable! We loved our wonderful stay! Thank you❣️😃❤️😍"

Seaport Resort & Marina

8/10 Good

"The location at the end of the bridge was great, and the price was right for the area. Plenty of well-lit parking, and the place looks fine. Staff was friendly enough, but the details could use some updates. Nothing major, just... details. The only disappointment was the hot tub. After we got into the pool area (the key card lock was broken), we found that the hot tub had been filled in to be this decorative... thing. Had I known that, I would have picked the next closest place, as the wife wants what she wants, and she wants the dang indoor pool for our kid and the hot tub for herself. Gotta keep that lady happy. 😉"

This central area offers a pleasant, rural New England experience with easy access to the town's key landmarks. You'll find the historic Grange Hall, known for its farmers' market, and the West Tisbury Free Public Library. The area is characterised by its open fields, stone walls, and tree-lined roads, providing a peaceful backdrop.

Couples looking for a relaxing escape will find this area particularly appealing. It offers a quiet setting away from the busier towns on the island, with opportunities for scenic walks or bike rides along the country lanes. You're also well-placed for visiting local vineyards and farm stands.

Families often appreciate the space and calm of West Tisbury. Properties here typically offer larger grounds, which can be ideal for children to play.

When is the best time to go to West Tisbury?

The best time to go to West Tisbury is during the shoulder seasons, specifically May, early June, or September, for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

West Tisbury is a rural town on Martha's Vineyard, known for its open landscapes, farms, and quiet beaches. The main village centre is small, with the historic Grange Hall and the weekly Farmers' Market being central points of activity. It's less about bustling streets and more about natural beauty and a relaxed pace.

Couples looking for a serene escape will find these months ideal. You can enjoy long walks along beaches like Long Point Beach without the summer rush, explore the extensive trails of local conservation lands, and dine at local eateries that are less crowded. The weather is typically mild, great for outdoor activities like cycling or exploring the island's art galleries and studios.

Families travelling with younger children might also appreciate the quieter pace of the shoulder seasons. The beaches are more spacious, and local attractions like the Polly Hill Arboretum are less busy, allowing for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience.
