"Lovely setting "
Hotel on one level in beautiful setting next to Marwell Zoo. A series of 'pods' containing bedrooms joined by glass-sided walkways. The main part of the hotel and the bedroom areas were warm and cosy on what was a cold weekend, but the walkways were freezing cold - no heating whatsoever. There were two functions while we were there - which we had been told about a couple of days before our visit - so no dining room for the evening meal but bar food was available. Bedroom had doorway directly to outside area - which was unexpected but a lovely idea.

"Better class transit post."
Conveniently situated for business dealings in Crawley. Every thing I needed to visit was in walking distance. Pleasant room decor, excellent shower, bed a tad soft for my liking. On site 'Pub' hopeless, ice cold beer and wall to wall American Basketball on tv screens. Deli much better, very helpful waiter who made a good cup of coffee and could talk about cricket.

It was great; no need to get a taxi just take a short walk with little exposure to the cold. Breakfast was great with many choices and free internet was excellent.

The Hickstead Hotel

Jobs Lane, Bolney, Haywards Heath - Map

"One night stay"
We needed an room for one night to attend a family occasion nearby - hence we booked The Hickstead. Staff very welcoming & check-in was swift. Our room on the ground floor was in desperate need of updating or at least redecorating. Although reasonably clean the carpet was heavily stained, basin plug was blocked & showered curtain too short ). The room was quite cold & we discovered the radiator in the bay window behind the closed curtains. The ceiling & walls were obviously thin as not only were we disturbed by guests walking around the room above us, but were could also hear them talking (they were not talking loudly!). Breakfast room service was very good & on time. Check-out was swift.

Overnight stay with Gatwick travel. Easy quick service at hotel. Quiet room. Shuttle service good from hotel to airport. Bit of wait at terminal on arrival for shuttle. Would recommend for travellers stay when all you need is quiet comfortable room not far from airport.

"Really handy for Gatwick, but quiet and homely."
Really handy for Gatwick, but far away enough from the noise of the planes. More importantly, close to the place I was working! Good, spacious rooms, which come with tea/coffee making facilities, which is very civilised.

"Perfect night in the countryside "
We had a great nights stay at the Eight Bells. It was so friendly as soon as we arrived. We decided to have dinner at the pub which was delicious. Our stay was lovely. The room was clean and cosy we had everything we needed there. We weren't able to access the wifi but I did manage to connect to the pub serveral times which was useful. Service was fantastic and we couldn't recommend this place any more. We can't wait to return :) Emily & Lottie
