"Just a great home base for visiting Portland"

"Nice convenient spot for a quick trip. Unfortunately, the last guest in the room left the alarm clock on for extremely early and it went off while I was asleep. Additionally, the street construction outside started at 6am, but that isn't on the hotel. Overall, not bad."

"Would have rated 5 stars but parking was a nightmare. Apparently they let people from the surrounding area park there even though they aren't guests. Couldn't find any street parking so had to pay $20 in a lot. That lot expires at 5am, so had to get up at 5, move car to parking lot where luckily a spot had opened up. During that, saw a voucher in another car on the paid lot that said 'guest of Eastside lodge'. Why weren't we offered a voucher? 2 different staff people knew we were having issues. And coffee pot was empty in the morning when we checked out. The room was fine but these little things are why I can't give it a 5. Just get there early I guess."
