"First time I have stayed in a hotel on my own & I felt totally safe. It's a lovely little place. Room was modern & clean. It is pet friendly so i had my 2 dogs with me. Parking is great as it is right outside the room. Breakfast area is nice, plenty of choice, even has a cooked vegan option. Staff are helpful & friendly. I will definitely return."

"Sue was lovely. The hut was cute and cosy. Sue had left us milk tea coffee sugar wine biccys and she other essentials. It was a very sweet touch.The hot tub was amazing. The location is beautiful tranquil and definitely worth a visit. Value for money and then some. We will most definitely be back. Thank you for our fab break Sue. 😘"

"Lodge was really nice and clean and it was a really nice experience. However a few lights either didn't work or had no bulb in, the hall way light didn't work and when it was dark you couldn't see where you was going and the light outside the hot tub but this wasn't so bad as you had the fairy lights which gave a bit of light. Over all very nice "

"Very comfortable unit in a country setting away from the congestion of York. The only negative point was that the WIFI was weak in the unit we were in. Nice, historical location. "
