We were looking for an overnight hotel to stay. Very easy check-in, big rooms and clean bathrooms. Breakfast was good, although can get crowded. Early breakfast recommended.

We had a short break in Ottawa. The accommodation was ideally located next to the rail link service to the city.

Big rooms, comfy bed and breakfast had limited choices but it was fine. Excellent location with a 10 min walk to train station to take you into centre. Also easy access to highway if driving.

We love independent hotels rather than the chains. This hotel was wonderful, so cosy & everyone was really friendly. Breakfast was excellent, made to order.
Only a short walk to everything, Byward Market about 15 mins, Parliment Hill about 20 mins.
What I will say is that the hotel is on a lovely residential leafy street, however not far away & on the walk to the main areas there are a lot of homeless, some evidently on drugs. Whilst we felt a bit shocked at first, we didn't feel unsafe. Its...

A wonderful motel, very comfortable with lovely surroundings and the room was perfect. We would definitely stay again. Staff were friendly too. Loved our stay ❤️

2 parents away for a night from kids for first time in years so sleep was key- checked into a room and within an hour it was clear we could hear everything in the room above, especially chairs being moved. The receptionist, who has a young son her service, was very understanding and moved us to a room where no one was staying above that day. Quality service recovery!

West End is a family-friendly, economical neighborhood with convenient options for restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Part of the neighborhood's charm is its college atmosphere. Hotels and hostels in West End provide a good starting point for sightseeing in and around the Ottawa area.
Sightseeing around West End
The university and water park are some of the local highlights. For cultural attractions, head to Centrepointe Theatre, Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, and Canadian War Museum. Some landmarks that can't be missed include Library and Archives Canada, Rideau Canal, and Billings Estate National Historic Site. Take a tour of campus around Algonquin College, Carleton University, or St Paul University. Create some family memories at Nepean Sportsplex.
There's plenty to do in the area, such as golfing and shopping. Why not cheer with the crowd at Frank Clair Stadium, Walter Baker Sports Centre, or Bell Sensplex? A local golf course like Capital Golf Centre will challenge your game. Andrew Haydon Park, Commissioners Park, and Vincent Massey Park are some scenic spots that are popular with the locals. With a shopping trip to Rideau Centre, Byward Market Square, or South Keys Shopping Centre, you might find that perfect souvenir. If you're looking for something else to do, head to Chapman Mills Marketplace, Kanata Centrum Shopping Centre, and St. Laurent Centre.
Some of the area's most popular sights are National Gallery of Canada, Canadian Museum of History, and University of Ottawa. You can also head to Mooney's Bay Park, Brewer Park, and Dundonald Park.
