The property was beautiful. The host was great and made an excellent breakfast. On the negative side; the mattress was pretty bad and needs to be replaced and the way the shower curtain was hung made the shower very narrow, but it could be easily fixed.

We were lucky to find Alaska's Lake Lucille B&B. Located about an hour north of the Anchorage airport, we were looking for a place to stay on our way to Talkeetna. Our room was charming, and breakfast was delicious. We would definitely recommend this B&B to other travelers.

Carol has an amazing place by the lake which is cozy and homely. Very friendly, accommodating and goes above and beyond to help. The breakfast was great. The other guests were amazing and friendly. Some of the best conversations :) Sadly we were there only for 1 night. We are definitely going to visit again, when in Alaska

Ease of access from/to the main highway and shopping areas. Views of lake & snowcapped mountains. Quiet. Morning sounds of birds. Well maintained gardens of eatables and local plants. Furniture and furnishings are right out of designer magazines, and all is coordinated and comfortable. No excess. No clutter. But lots of it and all fits together. Hostess is personable; well-traveled; and proficient in the art of conversation. Days later in our travels we met again with other guests. They said out-of-the-ordinary tips and hints from the hostess about places to see and things to do enhanced their visits.

Lovely house and room, super clean, and amazing view of lake Lucille. Definitely stay here instead of Anchorage, especially if you're renting a car. Good breakfast, comfortable bed, extra kitchen downstairs in case you need to make something, highly recommend and will be coming back.
