Great 2 room suite in Fantastic location

Posted 29-Aug-2016
Pros: Beautiful room. Great location. Helpful, pleasant staff.
Cons: Took a little while to find right connection for Wi-Fi. Staff was helpful in solving problem.
Location: Walking distance to Hop On, Hop Off tours, China Town, Ford theater and Metro Train Station and Buses.
Stayed 5 nights to sightsee in DC. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Daily housekeeping kept room spotless. Room was above expectations. Grocery store, drug store and dining within easy walking distance. Washington Visitors Center within walking distance. We had an exceptional visit in this hotel and plan to return again. Would highly recommend

Expedia Out Did Themselves!

Posted 27-Aug-2016
Expedia out did themselves this time! A lot of times, when a hotel has the words "luxury" or "suites" in the title, their definition of luxury & suite never matches mine. But I was truly blown away with the beautiful, modern, luxurious suites at the Eldon. And it was right downtown, walking distance from everything. And the Expedia price was just awesome!

one block from Circulator (metro bus that takes you to National Mall) within walking distance to CVS and several restaurants. Quiet neighborhood.

Great location!

Posted 18-Jul-2016
Close to metro station, CVS store, a couple great restaurants. Be aware they have a major construction project going on right next to them. It didn't bother us too much because we weren't in the room much during the day. The staff were very friendly but one sold us on a bus tour that they sell the tickets for and gave us some misinformation on what the actual ticket got us. Had another clerk call a cab to the airport after he told me it would be $20 and it was actually $29. Little disappointing but otherwise great stay.

Generally, above my satisfaction.

More types of food should be provided in the continental breakfast. I am happy to pay higher price for that. There is lack of laundry facilities.

Overpriced & Underwhelmed

Posted 16-Jun-2016
Pros: Front desk team. Two young professionals doing the best they could.
Cons: Cleanliness.
With a cost of $700 a night, I had higher expectations from a 'Luxury' hotel. The front desk staff was very professional but clearly overwhelmed by how busy they were. However, it was my actual room, relative to the price, that was most frustrating. The carpet in the main living area was soiled and had debris all over it, there were blood stains on the bed sheets -- nothing crazy, but made it clear that the sheets had not been changed, and the TV remote was filthy and had food stuffs on it from previous guest(s). As a traveling professional who is on the road 4 nights a week, I generally empathize with hotels and their staffs because it's a hard job, but when you asks guests to pay $700 a night, guest expectations are higher and in this case, unmet. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Not happy

Posted 04-Jun-2016
The hotel was freezing when I got there, so I turned the air conditioning down. The DirectTV didn't work the first day of my trip, and wasn't able to change out of the children's channels second day. Worked the third day. Broke the fourth. Internet connection was spotty at best. Alarm clock never worked once. The staff at the hotel were phenomenal. Friendly, intelligent and hopeful. Wouldn't stay there again
