Reasonable location but thin on amenities

Posted 11-Oct-2016
Pros: Location isn't bad. It was clean. Service is good. Having a basic kitchen is very nice to have.
Cons: Add carpeting and furniture and a TV specifically in the bedroom
Location: It's a little far from really good restaurants (20min walk or $5 Cab) and further from the main attractions (30min/$8cab). But $12 Cab to Georgetown.
There is a massive constructions project next door that starts daily @ 7am. So we expected not to sleep in. We weren't disappointed. The front desk people were friendly and nice and checked us in earlier than they had to. Great! The room was huge, consisting of a massive living area/kitchen and a separate bedroom with walk-in. On the surface, this all seemed nice but as we got to know the place a little better, small things started to bug us. The TV in the living room was too small for the space. Furniture was sparse and not comfortable. There wasn't any carpeting at all so it felt cold. No TV in the bedroom. The kitchen amenities were a little dated and worn down but functional; stove top, oven, fridge, microwave, etc. Missing however was a coffee machine, coffee yes, but no machine. The next day we had a coffee maker but no coffee. One call fixed everything. Location wise, it seems to be just on the perimeter of the downtown core so it requires a 30 minute walk to get to the Mall or any of the other major attractions. Not too bad in the morning but at the end of the day after footing it through museums all day, it's a major hump getting home. Cab it! The good news is, it's just behind the convention center and the Metro Yellow Line. So airport transport was easy. In the end, I think we got what we paid for. We had a good room for about half the price of the Marriott across the street and we were able to make our own breakfasts. Don't do the hotel continental breakfast.

Buona struttura MA WiFi inesistente e rumore

Posted 24-Sep-2016

Nice Hotel close to the sites in Washington

Posted 19-Sep-2016
Pros: A perfect place to stay and totally hassle free
Cons: Nothing
Location: Close the Metro and if you don't mind walking a bit only 10 blocks before you hit the major Musiums/ites
Excellent Hotel. Rooms were spotless and cleaned every day.

Good bargain in DC

Posted 15-Sep-2016
Pros: It was conveniently located near the Metro station and fairly close to my meeting location. The shower was outrageous!
Cons: I didn't like that the hotel charged a night's stay as a deposit to my credit card. Nor did I appreciate the $150 hold on my card for "incidentals".
Location: Near the convention center and the Metro.
Very spacious suite - it could have served well as an apartment for a long-term stay.

Beautiful apartment like facilities.

Posted 15-Sep-2016
Pros: Well equipped an designed kitchen and sitting area, comfortable bed.
Cons: 1. I would recommend another mirror somewhere in the suite. There is no full length and no mirror at all other than in the bathroom. 2. TV in bedroom
Location: Walking distance to lots of things.
The place was beautifully done . The apartment style suite was clean and pleasant. The staff was very welcoming. I really enjoyed my short stay. Parking was expensive as in all cities.

Great 2 room suite in Fantastic location

Posted 29-Aug-2016
Pros: Beautiful room. Great location. Helpful, pleasant staff.
Cons: Took a little while to find right connection for Wi-Fi. Staff was helpful in solving problem.
Location: Walking distance to Hop On, Hop Off tours, China Town, Ford theater and Metro Train Station and Buses.
Stayed 5 nights to sightsee in DC. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Daily housekeeping kept room spotless. Room was above expectations. Grocery store, drug store and dining within easy walking distance. Washington Visitors Center within walking distance. We had an exceptional visit in this hotel and plan to return again. Would highly recommend

Expedia Out Did Themselves!

Posted 27-Aug-2016
Expedia out did themselves this time! A lot of times, when a hotel has the words "luxury" or "suites" in the title, their definition of luxury & suite never matches mine. But I was truly blown away with the beautiful, modern, luxurious suites at the Eldon. And it was right downtown, walking distance from everything. And the Expedia price was just awesome!
