We booked through Vrbo, but just before leaving the U.S. i received a phone call asking me to pay outside of Vrbo. When i said i was not comfortable doing that over the phone, they said to bring cash and pay at checkin. We agreed upon USD as i had no time to purchase PLN. I called Vrbo and they verified that the property manager was legitimate and did not takepayment through Vrbo. It all worked out. But it was strange and uncomfortable.
