"A very authentic pub with a hotel upstairs. Food was top notch and very creative. Great breakfast. What stood out was the people - everyone we encountered working at the establishment went out of there way to make sure we were having a great stay. The proximity to the train staion was perfect - just across the street."

"The meal we had for dinner the sea bass with spring onions and supposedly with cauliflower purée was terrible. The skin on the fish was not crisp, the onions were Pretty raw and there was no cauliflower purée and it was very very greasy - would not recommend it. The hot water for breakfast to make tea was lukewarm."

"Good place, clientele was well over 50. Very quiet. No AC so can be warm at times but the sea breeze helps as does the fan. Classic English seaside experience"

"Great hotel on a moderate budget. Wonderful food but room was a little old fashioned and tired. Bar closes early so not great for evening chats/social time. Location was great for amenities and breakfast was great but terrible weak coffee and £4.50 extra for a proper cappuccino/latte."
