Gunstock Inn & Suites

10/10 Excellent
"This place is a hidden gem. The staff goes above and beyond. The little extras they do to make your stay feel at home is amazing. The inside is absolutely gorgeous and the view is breath taking. We forgot a speaker that we had hidden from our adult children during quiet time and the staff called almost immediately after we left. Brendon (I hope I am spelling it correctly) was fantastic from start to finish. You can tell he actually cares about the place and their Visitors. Cheers! We will be back!! Tennille and Kevin"

Stunning lakefront home with a boathouse, private dock, firepit and lake views

10/10 Excellent
"This property is amazing! It is located on a small Peninsula so that you have complete privacy. The layout of the house is truly flexible, everyone has their own space in their own privacy. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could ever want, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the living spaces are incredible. There is an eagle nest on the island across from the beach. It was so amazing to watch them fly around and feed their baby. They actually flew over the house and circled us. We were screaming! To top that off, there are deer that will swim across to the island and they leave the shore 30 feet away from you! It happened twice and we were so delighted! There are water toys and chairs and chaise lounges. Anything you could ever want. Plenty of parking, easy to find and extremely clean. Muriel was wonderfully responsive. What a fabulous, fabulous vacation spot!"

"Extremely peaceful, staff we interacted with were very helpful and accommodating but only there on limited basis. Only problem was the main house was not available for use, only drinks available was coffee from a Keureg in common area of carriage house that had to be filled by guests. For us it was the exact quiet place we wanted with exception of no food or drink available."

Sandy Beach Oasis on Lake Ivanhoe

Sandy Beach Oasis on Lake Ivanhoe

8/10 Good
"It was a relaxing week and my two grandchildren made swift friends with the children next door. They enjoyed the lake tremendously. Swimming and going out in the paddle boat, They learned to do flips off of the floating dock. A neighbor gave us a handful of sparklers so that was fun. If you’re looking for a true, no frills, back in the day lake stay then you will be ok. No dishwasher. Stove front was filthy. Inside of screen door filthy. Tiny bathroom, especially the shower. We are tall people and the shower was a challenge. I get that it’s an old, traditional, probably turn of the 20th century lake cabin, however, there needs to be a little more attention paid to its cleanliness. Sitting on the sofa you can see dirt where the cleaner hasn’t taken the time to run the mop under it. Also, the back deck light doesn’t work and apparently hasnt worked for a long time. And it’s too bad because the deck is lovely!! The table umbrella was completely busted and apparently has been for a while. The neighbor let us borrow one. It’s a quiet lake and our time was spent relaxing."
