"Traveling to Wakayama City for the fourth time, our family (including two teenage daughters) decided to try the Marina City Hotel, and we weren't disappointed. It's perfect for families with younger or teenaged children. There's always something to do, from the amusement park to the markets and Onsen. The optional breakfasts were superb, with something for everyone. The staff are phenomenal, as you can usually expect in Japan. It's only a two-minute walk to a breathtaking view of Wakayama Bay, including some of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen. My only suggestion, rent a car if you plan to see any other parts of Wakayama City."

"Excellent location right on the bus line. Close to Wakayama Station and right across the street from the castle. Pay for a room on the castle side. It is worth it for the beautiful view. The rooms are very spacious, service is excellent, the entire property is well maintained and spotless. Even the self-serve laundry is great!"

"Love the room with the river view and likewise the breakfast area with the same view. Did not like the tiny space provided for hanging clothes. Love that the train station is so close to the hotel. Few minutes to walk there. Plenty of restaurants, really good supermarket."
