"The best beach in the world - soft sand, warm water, just enough waves for gentle boogie boarding, and a beautiful coastline. Access to top quality restaurants and the best breakfast buffet."

10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is 6 stories with great ocean views and lovely sitting areas. Loved walking down to the beach and having a chaise and towels available. The pools were also inviting. "
"The Fairmont Orchid is absolutely gorgeous! I love the fact that it had its own private beach, where you can snorkel, paddle-board, go kayaking or go out on an outrigger. There is also a bar at the beach and food service available. The pool area separate from the beach, but they are both right next to each other. The pool area has food service and drink service as well and is very well designed. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. There is a shuttle service that will take you to the surrounding resorts for other restaurant options. The food is expensive so we took the shuttle bus to the little grocery store and purchased things for our room. We found that the food at the restaurants were just OK and not worth the price that we paid. Also, they have yoga every day and daily activities that you can participate in such as hula lessons (which I did), making a Hawaiian lai, discussions on culture and art, etc. You can also golf or play tennis there as well. They also have a concierge that will help you make arrangements for any excursions you want and a car service too. Overall, I really enjoyed this resort and would go again.

"Outstanding. The only flaw is that I can’t live there full-time! The other reviews are spot on: pristine accommodations, stunning nature, super thoughtful hosts. We usually stay in the busier central areas, but I loved (actually preferred) how tucked-away Puako was —a true escape to peace and quiet. Kyla and James are the perfect hosts: immediately available if ever you have a question, and otherwise just the nicest people who make it feel like this awesome house is all yours. That’s the sign of a dream getaway. Thank you, Kyla and James (and sweetest little pups in Hawaii)….. We’ll be back. "
