"The Continental is the oldest hotel in the city and due to his history and connection with writer Graham Greene I chose to stay here. The building itself is lovely as is the courtyard where breakfast was served. On arrival I was asked if I wanted to upgrade to a balcony room; I say 'yes' and paid the extra. On arrival in my room I couldn't open the balcony door, nor did the hotel room phone work. Both were rectified once I informed the front desk. I love old historic, colonial buildings and this was fabulous with a great view over the opera house and all the activity below. I would've been nice if the courtyard was opened for dinner or there was a convivial bar for a drink at night. I had lunch in the attached restaurant and was surprised that the soup I ordered and the coffee were so good. All in all a good stay in a great location."

"We had a very enjoyable stay at New World Saigon Hotel. The location is excellent, with easy access to Ben Thanh Market, restaurants, shopping and many of the main attractions in District 1. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious, and the hotel facilities were very well maintained. We were offered an upgrade to a suite on the 11th floor, which had additional costs, but was well worth the space and view! Breakfast was a highlight, with a large variety of both local and international options. The pool area was also a great place to relax after a day of exploring the city. Overall, a comfortable and convenient hotel with great service, excellent facilities and a fantastic location."
