"Property is a colonial style courtyard series of large rooms. There is no traditional Hotel Services and the Propert is extremely difficult to find. You MUST locate the #60 on a fenced property as there is No Signage and only a 1” x 3” hand written note of the name of Corte del Merlo. The external area is very dark and a little worn. Access is a secured entry that requires you to press a button. Eventually someone comes to the Iron Fence to let you into the property which is very pleasant....

Missed my flight connection so didn't arrive until the day after my first nights booking but despite there being a sign on the wall saying that No shows would be charged 50% of the first night, I didn't get any reduction in price. "Since Palermo is known for its gorgeous architecture, it seemed fitting to stay in a historic hotel. The Wagner is old-school large, beautiful, and gracious. I’m so happy the owners are preserving it. Staff are incredibly welcoming- not “stuffy”. Bar is a dark, cozy space to relax. Breakfast is the best we had in Italy. Robes are so appreciated for the traveler dealing with a limited carryon wardrobe. Location is fantastic for walking to sites, shopping, restaurants… my only request is to have in-room coffee/tea setup. "
