Vila Nova de Foz Côa

"This is hands down one of the prettiest and coolest properties you can stay in, in rural Portugal. The property, room and pool and service was amazing, but the town itself situated in is also just one of the coolest experiences. So many handmade items included in your stay and available to purchase. The host is amazing, super friendly and laid back. The grounds were beautiful, unique and has so much character. We stayed here for a night after taking the train into Pochino and it was one of the...

The hospitality was warm, generous, and sincere. We were treated to a taste of Moncorvo’s traditional regional culture. "Pros: Experiencing the quiet area, of course the vineyards, but also the pub in the village made the total experience. We spend 5 days to explore the culture and nature beauties. Regional food is great, the landscape is supurb and the wine tastings are lovely. Coming home every day and enjpying the hot tub made the days perfect. Maria (the host) is lovely and very helpful. Cons: There is nothing I can mention not worth the stay"

Top Vila Flor Hotel Reviews

The Vintage House - Douro

10/10 Excellent

"This incredibly beautiful hotel has Douro Valley views from the balcony. I just loved it. The grounds are lovely. It sits on the Douro River, with a short stroll to a great collection of nearby restaurants. The daily breakfast was a delight with a large selection of quality items. My only annoyance was the bathroom mirror. It's limited to a single small circular magnifying mirror. I could use the large desk mirror, though, which gave me additional views of the Douro River. We'll be back!"

Casa Dona Edite Guesthouse Douro

10/10 Excellent

"Our stay at Casa Dona Edite Guesthouse was excellent. The proprietors are gracious hosts, helpful with recommendations and even their dog was helpful, guiding us into the village and through vineyards. Our accommodation, the two-bedroom apartment, was spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Breakfast had ample selections. We ordered dinner one evening and it was a very satisfying, home style meal. The wine selection was good."

The Manor House Celeirós

10/10 Excellent

"C’est un endroit parfait, le resto 5 étoiles +++ L’endroit est d’une grande beauté, la déco, le personnel Petit déjeuner parfait pour commencer la journé, le jardin est très beau, je imaginer la splendeur en pleine été, Je recommande et je retournerai assurément un jour !"

Foz Côa Story House

10/10 Excellent

"Ultra modern hotel . Terrific staff who was everywhere to make our stay more enjoyable including preparing a fabulous breakfast early to meet our schedule They arranged transfer from Pocinho to the hotel, then the coa museum and back to Pocinho. Our taxi driver-Roy-was always on time and very helpful. Taxi company was Jorge …."

LBV House Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Loved the location of this hotel up in the hills above Pinhao. Wonderful views from our balcony down over the terraced vineyards to the Douro river below. Incredibly quiet and peaceful spot. Also liked the hotel bar. There’s not much going on in Pinhao at night, but the LBV bar has a nice gathering of guests from all over and a good menu of salads, drinks and other light fare. Rooms are small as with just about all new boutique hotels these days, but very clean snd nice."
