The positives of this property are its geographic beauty, and a lovely high hike able hill in back, overlooking the coast, all near a lovely area. Puffins, and a fairly nice small town are about 10-15 minutes. The property is an old farm (?) that they are adding buildings with rental rooms to. The hotel rooms were fine, clean and generally comfortable (we had 2 rooms). I hope they invest in basic small refrigerators for the rooms to make it possible as a tourist to keep even a leftover meal overnight.
The big turn off is the main building and check in is connected to a structure that is literally crumbling and abandoned. (broken windows, crumbling walls etc) My first impression was of a building that should be actually knocked down. Once inside the check in/dining area, it is clean, and staff is nice. However, the impression of actual crumbling blight is a huge turn off.
