Staff was staying at each corner, so it was very easy to ask any requests to the staff whenever I want. The ambience is like 1930’s, which takes me back to the good old time, and it matches to the Laos’s calm & slow atmosphere. The most grateful thing I’ve had was that the hotel staff arranged the one day tour from the hotel to Vang Vieng even though I’d asked them few days before. For me who didn’t know much about Laos, this one day tour arrangement made my entire trip unforgettable! As the total experience, being in the good 1930’s era and having a wonderful hospitality from the staff was much more worth than the price. The pool is very large and surrounded by beautiful gardens. The rooms have high ceilings and extremely comfortable beds. I can honestly say that I have never slept on better linen-so soft and luxurious. It was beautiful and the staff were so good and friendly. My only worry was the breakfast buffet. I am gluten free and therefore cannot eat any of the breads and pastries on offer. We wished we could've stayed longer and if we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends. Breakfast was a nice variety and the dining area is again relaxing. The breakfast coffee could be better. For the room, it was lovely and my only criticism is that the hairdryer could not be plugged/used in the bathroom. The hotel is walking distance to the city restaurants but of course, could be closer.
