Very highly recommended Lido Hotel
I cannot speak highly enough about Ca' Alberti. The hotel is absolutely delightful, full of venetian charm. We had 2 rooms on the 1st floor of the main building (think we had the best room), with good size bedroom, a lounge, good size bathroom with double shower & balcony. The bed was a very good size & aircon in the room was a godsend. All the walls were covered in material rather than paper/ paint, giving a very real flavour of plushness. The other room was a twin & was very large indeed, again boasting a sitting area & views over the church/square. There was a lovely courtyard area with a large seating area, there was also a covered outdoor area to eat breakfast. The continental breakfast was ample & tasty, with pastries, cheese, bread, cakes, fruit and yoghurt. My only real criticisms were that the coffee & hot water for tea was not very warm at breakfast, & no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. However when I asked again boiling water for tea was provided, and every morning after.
Having an arrangement with Ca del Moro we got to make use of the swimming pool at this nearby hotel. Again immaculate and a welcome break from the heat.
My biggest praise has to go to the staff. They could not have been more helpful. In particular a young chap who was so so lovely to us. He told me he was relatively new to the hotel, but indeed is a fantastic asset to the hotel.
A complementary shuttle & regular bus provides excellent access to lido and Venice.
