The building is an old one (which we liked) in good condition. You check in at the better hotel building next door. The receptionist asked I we’d like her to walk us over to show us how to get in. You should do this as building entry is not obvious. AC was not great. No view. On the good side - rooms were very large, clean, mattress comfortable, shower good pressure, and GREAT LOCATION. PSA - Receptionist said we could walk to hotel - about 30 minutes. NOT TRUE. About an hour and we had to lug heavy bags up and over about a dozen bridges (all with steps - no ramps). We were dripping sweaty and it was about 70 degrees. It was rough for us but we’re not marathon runners either. (55 years old). You can take a water bus from railway station to St Marks Square for 9 Euros/each. Then walk about 10 minutes. Or you can splurge on a water taxi for 70 Euros for your group door-to-door.
