This place is spectacular! The building, the decor, and the huge garden out back are very nice! The staff spoke good English and was super attentive. Breakfast was tasty but your basic high-end US hotel breakfast.

The staff helped with transportation coordination from our ships docking to the hotel. Seamless. The hotel is a 400 year old former mansion in incredible condition. Modernized in a tasteful manner, preserving the grandeur of the palace. The accommodations were absolutely 1st class and service outstanding. this was our first visit to Venice and the staff made this a crowning ending to our 2 week travel. Highly Recommended!

This is a wonderful grand hotel in the old world style. Built on a history of occupation by the nobility and monastic use, the building is elegant and splendid. The food service was excellent. The rooms are clean and well appointed. Everyone on the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The location is great, being on the canal at some distance from the more heavily traveled tourist areas.

The hotel is beautiful and the decor is as far from bland as you can get. You really know you’re in Venice in this hotel. The best thing about staying at this hotel is the location - very quiet but only a 3 minute walk from loads of great bars and restaurants. The Cannaregio area is so lovely and feels far away from the heaving tourist heart of Venice, even though it’s only about 25 minutes walk away. The hotel also runs a shuttle boat 2/3 times in the morning, returning early evening. €8 pp. The hotel is very relaxing. It’s not huge and busy. Breakfast is delicious. Staff are all helpful. Rooms well equipped. You can request anything you need online. We asked for an extra pillow that way and it came immediately! I was impressed.
