Restaurants and bars close by and a 20 minute walk gets you into the tourist centre of the city. The Hotel was clean and tidy, the food good and the staff friendly and helpful. First and foremost, the WiFi was not working during my entire stay, which made it difficult to stay connected and plan my activities. Additionally, I encountered a broken toilet in my room, which was both inconvenient and unpleasant. The cleanliness of the place left much to be desired; the rooms were dirty, and the carpets had stains that made the overall atmosphere feel unwelcoming. Given these issues, I would not recommend Hotel Messner unless significant improvements are made. Same as outside. Your staff-member in the reception told us that the AC had worked the day before, and would soon have cooled the room down. It was set on 16 celsius degrees at arrival. We left the room for a few hours and came back at 8 pm and the room was even warmer, and the staff in the reception came up to our room to check the Ac, and said that he did his best on making it work. We had to leave the room all evening because of the heat in the room. At 11 pm we asked a third time in the reception for help to cool the room down, the temperature was at 38 degrees celsius (yes we had a thermometer to measure). The answer we got from the staff in the reception was that we have to come back in the morning of 1th of July at 8 am for change of room. The night that we had to spend in the room was horrible with minimal of sleep for the whole family. We had the wet towels with cold water and use as covers. No one can sleep in almost 40 degrees celsius. The temperature was lower in the corridor, how is that possible? The morning after, as of today, 1th of july, we went down to the reception, for change of room, as we were promised by staff the day before.
