"Lovely big room, very clean"

"Great location but parking can be a problem. A lot of dogs, to the extent that dog owners have a separate bar and restaurant. Do book in the other restaurant in advance to be sure of getting a table when you want it. It’s the best place to eat in town and the staff are lovely. Getting a drink in the bar after dinner proved too difficult."

"The breakfast was delicious! The room was very nice too (Executive King). The grass needed mowing and cuttings/ weeds sweeping away - it would have the exterior look more attractive. Signage for the parking and overflow parking could have been clearer - it was difficult it was difficult in the dark. "

"We stayed for one night. The staff were fantastic and juliet checked us in and was very welcoming. Unfortunately it was really busy. They had little to offer for a vegetarian meal in the bar. They had a function on and the noise from people shouting etc late into the night meant we had no sleep. "

"Fantastic location overlooking the water. Duchess room was superb - great view and feature bath in the window. Hotel is a castle type property. Good good too. Staff very helpful and friendly"

"The exterior of the building was disappointing at first look though parking was great, lots of space , our room was spacious and suitable for a disabled person, lots of bars in the bathroom for safety though we are able bodied. The room was clean and bed was comfortable it even had an ironing board. The staff were very friendly and gave help on places to visit . We will visit again."
