Great location in uptown Dallas near the design district. The service was great! We also loved the air cleaners in the room (great white noise) so I wouldn't be able to hear my mom's snoring. I can't wait to take my husband to this place!
the Rosewood Crescent is a great hotel and I would stay there again. Staff was friendly, helpful and attentive without being intrusive. The only issue was the parking, which is not well marked or well defined. That is the only minor criticism about this hotel.
I have stayed at the Melrose several times over the years. I always have a good experience at this hotel and this trip was the same. If I don't have dinner plans I grab a quick meal in the bar. The food is good, service is friendly. The Melrose is a good choice if you want a unique historic property with character. Great place!
I was really disappointed by the hotel staff, arrival and departure greeting and messaging is completely non-existent. We arrived late from a long flight from New York. When we pulled into the port cochere, there were 4 parked trucks blocking the entire drive. The valet did not come to greet us, we had to get out of the car and ask where we are supposed to park. Not a single person ever welcomed us to the hotel. The night check in attendant asked us for a credit card for incidentals, then gave us a room on a low floor on a busy street, near the elevators. Not ideal for a guest who wanted nothing more than a good night sleep. The third floor would benefit form double glazed windows to mitigate street noise. I should have asked to be on a high floor, but since they never even told us what room number we had during check in, it did not occur to me until I was in the elevator and noticed the room number written on the back of the key card. (Dissappointment #3). When we checked out the following morning, the woman at the desk never once asked us, "How was your stay? Nor did she ever say, "thank you for staying with us, we hope you will visit us again." I have worked in the hospitality industry for a boutique hotel and I know that this type of customer service is not only something that is critical to being a quality service provider - but it is at the core of the best known hotel brands in the world. I was incredibly disappointed form check in to check out.
The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was eccellent, very friendly and responsive. Very convenient for the American Airline Center, but not much else around it.
It was expensive, but did not dissappoint.
From the moment you arrive at the door and Joe greets you, to Ali or Kent checking you in, it's a superior, friendly, elegant experience. The restaurant, room service meals are fabulous. The rooms are meticulously kept with an award winning housekeeping department in my opinion. The daily service and turn down service is flawless without a single thing out of place. The facility is in an excellent uptown location that you can walk to many excellent restaurants and bars. I would find an excuse to go a little further however because a ride in the Rolls Royce Ghost house car is an experience you don't often get. Beautiful car with suicide doors and a driver that makes you feel so happy to be driving around with great conversation. My only regret is that I left his card on the desk in the room and I can't remember his name.

There was nothing spectacular. It was very clean, comfortable and in great location to where we were for the weekend. We plan on making trips back to Dallas for weekend Dance trips, and we will look to stay here again.

With its proximity to the Arts District and downtown's white-collar firms, the creative set congregate in Uptown and Oak Lawn. This leafy area is a mix of high-rises, single-family homes, and commercial districts. The intersection of Cedar Springs and Throckmorton is the heart of the city's gay community. Uptown has the American Airlines Center, home to the Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Stars.
