"Arriving early at the Shangri-La Sydney hotel, the staff warmly greeted us at the front lobby and showed us where to store our luggage. The Filipino guest services attendant who stored our multiple luggage was helpful and kind. After we had our breakfast, we went back to the hotel and this hardworking and friendly bellhop/porter was looking for us in the lobby while pushing a trolley with our luggage, backpacks, etc., and ushered us to our clean and spacious room with the amazing view of the city! Btw, the front desk staff who checked us in greeted us with a smile and paid attention to our concerns, being exhausted from our long international flight. She was the best! Breakfast buffet had a wide variety of international food to choose from; delicious and worth the price. Our stay was absolutely perfect! On our last day prior to embarking on our cruise, the concierge staff made sure our taxi to the port was there on time. She walked with us towards the taxi, like she was family sending us off safely to our next adventure. Thank you, Shangri-La, we had a wonderful time!"

"The buffet breakfast was awesome. Scrambled eggs were not rubbery. They were just right. But the variety was amazing. Pillows were super fluffy too. Trans and ferry’s right there "

"What a great find! We absolutely love this hotel! It’s my new favourite. The staff are all exceptional - really really lovely friendly warm people - sympatica! Thank you all for making our stay brilliant. I travelled with my disabled mum and the disabled facilities were excellent, we had the most help I’ve had anywhere in the world. The decor and amenities are bright, fresh and a lovely surprise. Honestly though - amazing job on recruitment, nicest, funnest and most attractive bunch of staff I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. Thanks all!!! This hotel goes to eleven!!!!"

"It was very noisy with street noise coming up through the windows There was a gap under the door that allowed light to shine in so when you rolled over the light from outside the room would shine directly in your face The mattress was extremely hard and not very good quality The quality of the room and upkeep was good, but when you factored in the noise, the light and that you could hear people running in the hall and slamming doors during the night took away from the experience definitely"
