My husband and I stayed at Mumbul Ubud for three nights and really loved the property. The room was beautiful and both the room and bathroom were huge! Also, being set behind other buildings on the main street meant it was fairly quiet. The location was very convenient as everything is so close. Ubud Palace, the Water Palace and the Art Market are like a block away, the Sweet Orange trail is right next door and the Capuhan Ridge Walk is like 5-10 minute walk away. We could even walk to the Ubud Monkey Forest in like 20 minutes.
Nothing to fault during my stay. I am so happy I decided on Mumbul. It was perfect in every way for me. Solo female traveller. I loved the random cats and resident dog was a legend. Pool area was serene, so many beautiful plants, flowers, ornate objects, carvings - I was surrounded by beauty, I was in total heaven.
Wonderful and friendly staff. My room was amazing, loved it all. Thank you :-)
I'll be back when I visit Ubud again in 2027 :-)
If you just want a cheap place to stay in Ubud and not spend much time there this place will suffice. But honestly the room was not particularly clean, the sink drained poorly, and we happened to stay while there was a musical festival going on which was very loud at bed time. (Yes, can't expect the middle of Ubud to be silent at all hours)
The staff are very nice and helpful and I understand at this cost point you should not expect much, but if you can afford something a bit nicer I would have gone for it.
Great location (breakfast with view off the water palace), friendly staff, downstairs room very quiet- could not hear the street noise, we extended our stay.
The property was nice overall. The pool was lovely. The property was a little older looking in real life than in photos but I think that is fair of many places in Ubud. Staff were helpful & communicated over WhatsApp. The shower / hot water wasn't great overall.
There was some construction on the other side of the property but it didn’t bother me at all. I loved my room. It was so quiet being so close to the Main Street. The air condition was great. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I also appreciated that the outlets could fit multiple types of prongs so I didn’t need my adapter to use my U.S. chargers. I would definitely stay here again.
Lovely place place to stay. Close to the main strip, but away from the noise. The property is clean and the staff was helpful. Didn't get the chance to try the food. Pool area was nice and quiet. Some minor things need to be taken care of: found some ants in the bedroom and the toilet. Some more pest control is to be considered. The safe inside the closet was not working. Someone came in to try to fix it, but unfortunately it wasn't fixed. Overall, a very good experience. I would come back!
Great position and would have been a great stay. But the area is a building site, angle grinders, electric planners and demolition hammers going 12 hours a day. The room above us was a shell and we had constant building noise down into our room. Site very untidy with buildings materials. If they had told us this was happening we would have cancelled. We spoke to them after 2 nights and they said we could either move to their other site approximately 10 ks out of town or have our remaining 2 breakfast for free. We took the free breakfast.
Amazing! Great location, right next to the main markets and temples. So many restaurants and shops within walking distance. The property was beautiful. It’s a bit tucked away though. Follow signs for Mumbul Tattoo.
Loved this hotel. The location was amazing since it is in the heart of Ubud but at the same time it felt hidden and peaceful staying here. The staff was very kind. They took our luggage and gave a deep tour of what our room looked like. One of my favorite hotels I have stayed at and worth the price!
We actually stayed at the OMA property out of Ubud. It was fortuitous as it prompted us to explore more of the region. Beautiful stylish facilities and extremely comfortable. Staff were great. The relaxing stay that we were looking for away from the bustle of Ubud itself.
I absolutely loved this charming stay. Right in the center of Ubud, yet discreetly tucked away to feel like a secluded resort. The staff is so kind and very welcoming.
The room was well-equipped with water, a mini-fridge, tv, and a few little things such as clean and new comb, shave kit, etc.
There was a small balcony that opened up to lots of nature and a small creek down bellow.
Would definitely book again!

This is a nice place tucked off the main street in the heart of ubud. Unfortunately it is undergoing renovations so it was noisy right next to our room. The room is nicely decorated with a good bed but not much storage. No television reception as the aerial hadn't been installed yet. The hot water system was pretty crappy as only a 5 minute shower then 30 minutes to heat up for the next person.
Be aware that there's nowhere out front to park a car so you're jumping in and out trying to deal with luggage!
Overall it's a nice place for the private.
I love this villa. The location is great, walking distance to everything. The room was clean and beautiful. Balcony looks over jungle and river. The bathroom was spacious with all the amenities including water for brushing your teeth. The villa also had a mini fridge ,kettle and bottles of water. The staff with ask you via Whatsapp, if you if you want housekeeping. The pool is very clean and nice, right next to the water palace.
Meget fint centrale hotel. Personalet er meget venligt og hjælpsomt og hjælper gerne med at få arrangeret ture og transport.
Poolen er fantastisk og værelset er som det skal være
Positives – Location is good to access other amenities such several good restaurants that are very reasonable, and temples to visit. The hotel had lush green gardens and a clean swimming pool. The craft market is across the road from the hotel.
Negatives - The first room we had booked was terrible with a leaky toilet wetting the bathroom floor. Sheets were worn and stained, my wife refused to sleep in the bed and eventually slept with her clothes on. Access to this room was difficult and down some very steep stairs. The room was in a general state of disrepair but as we arrived very late we waited till the morning to ask for a room change and was given another room which was marginally better and paid an extra £20. This had new bedding and was a bigger room with a balcony. However, the bathroom sink tap leaked and was hard to operate and the shower area needed a deep clean.
The alleyway to the hotel was littered with open refuse sacks every day when we were there, which is very off putting, and we fed this back to them. We didn’t mind the place being a little ‘tired’ but the lack of cleanliness disappointing. If more attention was paid to the cleanliness this would be a good hotel to stay at.
Parfait : Superbe situation, le calme en plein centre ; la sérénité du temple qui jouxte l’hôtel; la gentillesse du personnel; le réconfort de la piscine après une journée bien remplie …
On a adoré
