Hotel Riu Plaza London Victoria
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel is super for Gatwick arrivals- you just train into Victoria Station and walk a block. It is a modern building- think Hiltonesque- but with a knockout breakfast included. If you want Victorian splendor, go elsewhere. This is about pure convenience if you are dragging a luggage set behind you."

"The room was small but the beds were comfortable and it was quiet. The "ultra modern" theme made the room a little less useful, with all the electronics controled on a board that lit up at the slightest sound (very annoying in the middle of the night). They were pretty stingy with toilet paper and soap, which is what lost them a rating point. The breakfast was really good with ample selection and great quality. The highlight of the hotel is the absolutely welcoming feeling given off by the staff. Everyone was nice to us and it really made our stay special."

Zedwell Piccadilly Circus

"Zedwell is windowless cocoons, know that going in. But if you want clean, quiet, comfortable a stone's throw from Piccadilly Circus, for the cost of a middle US Interstate Hampton Inn, this is your place. No chair, no table, no amenities. Bed, walk-in shower and toilet. Good wifi, plenty of charging plugs. When I'm in London, time spent in the hotel room feels like a waste. So Zedwell all but forces me to get out and see this extraordinary city. Then when I come home to crash, it's lights out, pitch dark, total quiet, and I'll be ready for the next day."
