The best area to stay in Tudes is within the village itself, particularly around the main square and the surrounding quiet lanes.

Tudes is a small, picturesque village located in the Liébana Valley, known for its traditional stone houses and stunning mountain views. The village centre is compact, with the focal point being the small, charming main square where you'll find the local church and a few establishments. The lanes radiating from the square are narrow and pedestrian-friendly, offering a peaceful setting.

Couples looking for a tranquil escape will find Tudes ideal. The village offers a romantic backdrop with its rustic architecture and the dramatic Picos de Europa mountains in the distance. Strolling hand-in-hand through the quiet streets or enjoying a meal at one of the local eateries provides a relaxed and intimate experience.

The best time to go to Tudes is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months.

These periods offer pleasant weather, with comfortable temperatures that are ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the region and enjoying outdoor activities. Spring brings lush greenery and blooming wildflowers, while autumn showcases stunning foliage as the leaves change colour. The summer months (July and August) can be quite warm, and it's also the peak tourist season, meaning more visitors. The winter months (November to March) can be cold and wet, with some services potentially reduced.

For travellers interested in hiking and outdoor pursuits, spring and autumn provide the superb conditions. The trails around Tudes, such as those leading through the Liébana Valley or to viewpoints overlooking the Picos de Europa, are particularly enjoyable when the weather is mild.
