The best area to stay in Treux is the historic town centre, particularly around the Grand'Place.

This central area is the heart of Treux, known for its well-preserved medieval architecture and pedestrian-friendly streets. The Grand'Place itself is a large, open square bordered by impressive guildhalls and the Hôtel de Ville, with many cafes and shops spilling onto the pavement. It's a convenient base for exploring the town on foot.

For couples looking for a romantic escape, staying near the Grand'Place offers easy access to intimate restaurants and interesting boutique shops. You'll find yourself just a short stroll from the Treux Cathedral and the picturesque canals that wind through the old town, superb for an evening walk.

Families travelling with older children will also find the town centre suitable. The proximity to key landmarks means less travel time and more time exploring.

The best time to go to Treux is generally between May and September, when the weather is mildest and most conducive to exploring.

For those who enjoy outdoor activities and pleasant temperatures, the months of June, July, and August are ideal. During this period, the days are long, and the average temperatures are comfortable for walking around the town and enjoying the countryside. This is also when many local events and markets are held, offering a chance to experience the local culture.

If you prefer to avoid the busiest tourist season while still enjoying good weather, May and September are excellent choices. The temperatures are still agreeable, and the natural scenery, particularly in May with spring blooms or in September with early autumn colours, is particularly appealing.
